The Farm

The farm serves as a place where artists, educators and practitioners can gather to explore ideas through conversation, nature, creativity and embodied experience.

Our historic farm in Åsenfjord Norway is a place for reflection, creativity and meaningful work. With buildings dating back to the 1830s, the farm combines cultural heritage, natural surroundings and quiet spaces designed for both solitude and connection.

Guests can stay in private accommodation with their own kitchen and bathroom, allowing them to retreat, rest and work at their own pace. The farm also includes a dedicated Black Box studio—a flexible space for movement, conversations, personal development, workshops, rehearsals and creative development.

Surrounded by farmland, forest and open landscapes, the setting offers space to slow down, think clearly and reconnect with what matters. Both our farm animals and the wild animals lingering around the prperty are part of everyday life, offering a gentle reminder of living in close connection with nature.

Food is an important part of the experience. We prepare all meals ourselves, drawing inspiration from the seasons and using locally sourced and foraged ingredients whenever possible. Good food, shared around the table, is an integral part of how we create a sense of belonging and well-being.

My approach to individual work is grounded in attentive conversation, reflection and practical development. The aim is not to impose a fixed method, but to create the conditions in which people can explore ideas, make decisions and move forward in a way that feels true to them.

The farm hosts individual client stays, small retreats, artistic residencies, workshops and international creative collaborations. It is a place where people can step away from everyday demands, focus on self development, develop new work and imagine what might come next.

Workshops

Since 2022, our farm and Black Box have hosted a growing number of workshops, seminars and immersive learning experiences with participants from across Europe and beyond. The focus has been on creating small, carefully curated groups where meaningful learning, reflection and community can flourish in close connection with nature.

Among the facilitators we have welcomed are Kai Uwe Faust (Heilung), who has led several workshops in Core Shamanism and Nordic spiritual traditions, and Týr Torsteinsson (Australia), whose work has attracted an international community of participants.

Our role is to provide the setting and ensure that both facilitators and participants can fully focus on the experience. We organise accommodation, prepare all meals using seasonal, locally sourced and foraged ingredients whenever possible, coordinate logistics and transportation, and manage participant registration, communication and, when appropriate, the application and screening process.

The farm offers several accommodation options, access to surrounding forests and natural landscapes, and a dedicated 170 m² Black Box studio suitable for workshops, movement, performances and group activities. Together, these spaces create an environment that encourages learning, creativity, reflection and genuine human connection.

We are always interested in developing new collaborations with artists, educators, researchers and practitioners looking for a unique setting for workshops, residencies or retreats.
