For more than two decades I have worked at the intersection of culture, leadership, education and social development. Whether leading organisations, producing films, composing music or creating historical experiences, my work has always centred on building places and projects that help people understand themselves, each other and the world a little better.

My professional background spans museum interpretation, international documentary film production, theatre management, music, historical interpretation and strategic cultural development. I hold a Masters Degree in Arts and Media from the NTNU University in Trondheim and several courses in related topics such as cultural finance and marketing.

In 2009 I founded Trondheim Vikinglag, growing it into one of Norway's largest and most active Viking reenactment organisations, where we developed year-round educational programmes, festivals, living history events and international collaborations. Through Hands on History, I created projects that explored new ways of combining experimental archaeology, reenactment, outdoor education and academic research. These initiatives included EU-funded international partnerships, the The Viking Way project, Viking Hiking, various publications, videos, educational resources and conferences such as the Re-Conference that brought together researchers, museums and reenactors from across Europe.

Between 2012 -2017, before moving into film, I worked at Sverresborg Trøndelag Folk Museum, where I led the museum's interpretation department and helped develop new approaches to storytelling, audience engagement and public programming.

As a documentary film producer at UpNorth Film, I have worked with filmmakers from across Europe and USA, developing and producing internationally recognised documentaries presented at major festivals, cinema and broadcast by the BBC and Al Jazeera (among others). My work has focused on stories that contribute to public debate, cultural understanding and social change. My work in films lead me to be a consultant in the EU Creative Media funding program, where I have been evaluating applications from all over Europe since 2023.

From 2023 to 2026 I served as Managing Director of Turnéteatret i Trøndelag, one of Norway's regional theatres. My work focused on strengthening the organisation through strategic leadership, long-term financial sustainability and organisational development while supporting ambitious artistic production.

Music has remained a constant thread throughout my life. I have been writing, recording and performing since my early twenties through projects including 20 Bones, Orpheus and Songleikr, as well as guest appearances with artists such as Heilung, Wardruna, Geoff Berner and others. Today my primary artistic focus is Songleikr and my own compositions in PIINA, exploring the meeting point between Nordic traditions, contemporary expression and storytelling.

In 2018 my husband Christian Aune Falch and I bought our dream home: a historic Norwegian farm with buildings dating back to the 1830s. Together with our three children, animals, and a growing collection of projects, we have transformed the farm into a place for creativity, reflection and community. Our Black Box studio hosts bands, workshops and artistic collaborations.
