Selected projects
Reenactment and living history
For more than two decades, living history has been one of the foundations of my work. I have been fascinated by the meeting point between archaeology, experimental research, storytelling and lived experience—exploring how history can become something we actively engage with rather than simply observe.
As the founder of Trondheim Vikinglag and Hands on History, I have developed organisations, festivals, international collaborations, educational programmes and immersive experiences that have brought together researchers, museums, artists and volunteers from across Europe. Through projects such as Trondheim Viking Festival, The Viking Way, Go Viking Hiking, EU-funded partnerships, Re-conference, publications and my work at Sverresborg Trøndelag Folk Museum, I have sought to create new ways of understanding both the past and ourselves.
Theatre leadership
As Managing Director of Turnéteatret i Trøndelag (2023–2026), I led a comprehensive organisational and financial transformation, strengthening the theatre's long-term sustainability while creating the conditions for continued artistic growth.
International documentary film
For a decade, documentary film has been one of my ways of exploring the human condition. As a producer, I have developed and co-produced award-winning international documentaries, bringing together filmmakers, broadcasters and creative partners to tell stories that inspire dialogue and societal change.
